About me:
I grew up in Wisconsin, but I have lived in Minnesota for the past 18 years. My father owned a bakery when I was young and we lived in an apartment up above--I usually smelled like a donut when I went to school! I started cooking at an early age when my parents were busy working downstairs and I was left to fend for myself. My first creations were hamburgers on white bread with mayonnaise and Easy Bake Oven desserts. Now I'm a short order cook for my family---pastas, soups, omelets...sometimes all at once.

About me: I've been a "lacto-ovo" vegetarian (I eat dairy and eggs but NO meat) for over 15 years. I love to figure out ways to convert traditional "meat" meals into vegetarian meals.

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed on Oct. 6, 2008 by sarah
I decreased the butter to 1 1/2 sticks, and used 14 graham crackers, and milk chocolate chips. You really need to pulverize the graham crackers to a fine powder to get the texture of this recipe right. I used a 7x11 pan so they'd be thicker. Taste just like Reese's except the filling is a little coarser.

Easy Pizza Sauce III

This is a good option when you are in a pinch or hurry. I think it would be better if it simmered a bit, but it works! I added some chopped tomatoes to it just to get a little extra nutrition into those kids!

Oooey-goooey goodness! What a great, quick option for a caramel roll! I can't keep my hands off it!
