Madison, Wisconsin

Though Madison is the political capital of Wisconsin, Madison is not only a city of politics it is also the city which represents our state to the nation as a truly wonderful melting pot of cultures. Wisconsin was founded by many Scandinavians, Germans and Irish. But times have changed and now Madison Wisconsin is a multi-cultural city not only in population but local cuisine as well. Madison prides itself on the things that have made Wisconsin famous worldwide -- cheese, beer and Bucky Badger brand snack foods -- but we also embrace a multitude of other cultures from Indian to Mexican, the Dane County Farmers Market to Brat Fest. We are a city that just loves our food, and we love it well.

Grape Banana Salad

Reviewed on Aug. 25, 2008 by Katy
We made this for our brunch tonight and it was tasty. The salad went together quickly and was nice and light. If/When I make again, I'll toss in a few sliced strawberries. Yum.

Christmas Morning Frittata

Reviewed on Aug. 25, 2008 by Katy
We made this tonight and it went over very well! We made a few alterations (mozzarella cheese w/ sun-dried tomatoes & basil) (an additional egg) (4 slices of bacon, crumbled). The baking time and serving size estimate were accurate. The bread crumbs helped to beef it up. My husband was very complimentary and we will definitely make it again!

Casa Dressing

Reviewed on Aug. 17, 2008 by AUGIEANG
I browned 1# burger and added the envelope of taco seasoning to it, let it cool. Chopped lettuce and tomatoes, onion and added some corn, then the seasoned burger and this dressing. Better than what is ordered at a restauraunt!
